Jaipur (also known as the Pink City) is the capital of Rajasthan and a historical city built in the 18th century. It is one of the most visited cities in India, both by Indians and foreigners. Jaipur is a favourite destination for a road trip from Delhi as it takes only 5 hours to reach via NH 8.
Jaipur’s top attractions include Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, Jai Mahal, Birla Temple, Nahargarh Fort and many others.
Best Time To Visit
Summers are excruciatingly hot in Jaipur. Hence it is not advisable to visit during summers. October to March are an ideal time to visit, but during these months Jaipur witnesses maximum tourist footfall, so you may find it crowded.
Monsoons are full of heavy rains and also a good time to take a road trip to Jaipur from Delhi. Caution should be observed on the highway during monsoons.
How To Get There
Since the distance is only 5 hours, a bike trip would be a great choice for avid bikers. Otherwise, you can take your own car or hire a self-driving rental. RSRTC operates regular direct buses from Jaipur to Delhi.
Private bus operators offer affordable tickets starting from Rs. 300 on wards. Opt for an AC Volvo to make your bus trip more convenient. If going by car, hire a driver so you can enjoy the sights without the hassle of driving.
