1. Rambagh Palace
Rambagh Palace is spread across 47 acres of land in Jaipur. The palace is located 8 kilometres from the centre of the city. The history of the palace began in 1835 where it was constructed as a garden house for the wet nurses of King Ram Singh.
However, the house was converted into a full-fledged palace by Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II. The conversion also added many rooms and a royal suite for the Maharaja and his family. It has now been converted into a hotel, but visiting it you still experience the sense of traditional Rajasthani culture.

2. City Palace
City Palace, popularly knowns as the Chandra Mahal amongst the locals, is a major landmark in Jaipur. The palace comes with a palette of rich historical heritage, notably when Sawai Man Singh moved in here from his original residence at Ambler Palace.
The Maharaja did so to avoid the acute shortage of water the Amber Palace was facing. The palace was built between 1729 to 1732. The palaces architectural style clearly shows Rajasthani, Mughal and European architecture.

3. Samode Palace
Samode is a town located 56 kilometres away from Jaipur and is one of the largest towns in the state of Rajasthan. In the early 19th century, the place was converted into a palace by the unifying King Rawal Berisal.
The palace’s layout is styled in the Rajputana and Muslim architectural styles. The famous Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Mirrors is right here in the Samode Palace.

4. Amer Palace
Amer Palace, commonly known as the Amber Palace, is an architectural marvel. The palace is located in the town of Amer which was ruled by the Meena’s dynasty. It used to serve as a fort, and was carved out entirely of marble and red sandstone.

5. Hari Mahal Palace
The Hari Mahal Palace was constructed in the year 1930. The palace served as the home of Rajadhiraj Hari Singh of Acrol. The family dynasty of the raja can be traced as far as back to Maharaja Prithviraj of Amer.
Part of the palace has been converted into a heritage hotel where tourists can reside and get a feel of the opulence of Rajasthani royalty. The other half of the hotel still houses the surviving members of the dynasty.

6. Rajmahal Palace
The Rajmahal Palace was built as a symbol of love by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II for his wife. The palace was built in the year 1729. In 1821, it became the home of the British Resident Political Officer of the Rajputana Taluk. Over time, the palace has hosted some high profile guests including Queen Elizabeth II, the Shah of Iran and Jackie Kennedy.
The palace has been restored and converted into a hotel and is open to the general public. It still holds relics from its past such as massive chandeliers and beautiful marble staircases.

7. Hawa Mahal
The Hawa Mahal was built in the year 1798 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. The palace is a five-storey construction meant for the ladies of the royal families to observe the way of the commoners. The key highlight is the meticulous latticework on the palace windows.
Due to the way the palace was constructed, and given its numerous windows, there were massive gushes of wind blowing through it, giving it the name of Hawa (air) Mahal (palace). The palace is opened to tourists on all days except Fridays.

8. Jal Mahal
The Jal Mahal is a stunning spectacle in Jaipur that you cannot miss. It is a majestic palace that stands tall right in the very centre of the Man Sagar Lake. The floating palace is a design marvel and will leave you mesmerized with its beauty.

Shahpura palace was built nearly 300 years ago in Shahpura. The palace was initially built as a fortress that also served as a strategic vantage point. It was only in the 18th century that Rao Bishan Singh turned the fortress into a palace.
