1. Bhangarh Fort
This most famous haunted fort is located between Jaipur and Alwar and is the number one haunted place in India. It is so deeply steeped in spirit world mystery that even the Archaeological Survey of India has put up a notice saying no one is allowed post 5 pm.
Numerous travellers have reported sightings, ghostly noises, sounds of music and screams coming from the fort at night. The Fort gives off a heavy, dizzying energy that makes even non-believers uneasy. A must-visit haunted destination for true believers.

2. Nahargarh Fort
The Nahargarh Fort is one of the top haunted places in Jaipur. The lore suggests that the spirit of Nahar Singh Bhomia haunted this place. When Maharaja Sawai Singh tried to build this fort, the spirit of Nahar Singh was annoyed by the disturbance in his ghostly dwelling.
Last year an unidentified dead body was found hanging in the fort with the accompanying message that was against the release of the movie Padmavat. Entrance is not permitted after dark.

3. Jal Mahal Palace
This abandoned submerged palace is also known as the floating palace and it is built in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur. Four storeys are built under water while the fifth one stands above the water. Strange incidents and sightings have been reported here, such as screams from inside the palace.
The palace looks intriguing and eerie. It had turned into ruins due to its under water construction and sewage problems. This probably makes it scarier.

4. Brij Raj Bhawan
Located in Kota, about 4 hours away from Jaipur is this colonial palace now converted into a heritage hotel. The legend speaks of Major Charles Burton, a British major who was massacred in the 1857 revolt by Indian soldiers and whose spirit dwells here.
He is believed to be reprimanding the help while working. The ghost is also believed to yell at and slaps visitors. Many travellers who have stayed here have reported stomping of feet wearing heavy boots and loud noises of a man & other strange sounds.

5. Rana Kumbha Palace
In Chittorgarh, this palace is known for the legend of Queen Padmini who performed an act of self-immolation with hundreds of other women, in order to ward off the evil advances Sultan of Delhi – Allauddin Khilji.
It has been said that the spirits of all those women who died a tragic and sudden death haunts the ruins of the palace, screaming for help and crying. Reportedly, a woman dressed like a queen with a burnt face has been sighted here.

6. Delhi-Jaipur Road
Just 8 kilometres before reaching Jaipur, there is a local eatery or a ‘dhaba’. Around this area, a lady met with an accident and her apparition is seen by cars that drive by. She is seen wearing a red saree with gold jewellery on her body and tinkling sounds of her jewellery are also heard.
She has reportedly also harmed people driving through this stretch. Apparently she stands in front of your car, and disappears when you stop the car.

7. Jagatpura
This is a residential area in Jaipur which is supposedly haunted by witches as well as by dead villagers from olden times who died from starvation. Although it appears to be a regular residential area during the day, people are afraid to come out of their houses at night as they believe witches walk around the streets at night.
A woman dressed in white, with long flowing hair has been reportedly sighted by many. Residents have also heard women laughing as well as screaming.

8. Kuldhara Village
Located near Jaisalmer, this village has been abandoned for 300 years. The legend involves an evil tax collecting ruler who set eyes on a beautiful girl from the village and threatened the villagers. They did not adhere to his demands and collectively fled the village, fearing his wrath
The village was cursed. The whole village and nearby abandoned villages have a creepy vibe. Strange and ghostly sounds and shadows have been reported and villagers talking and whispering have been ‘heard’ by visitors too.

9. Sudhabay
This is a ‘Ghost Fair’ held once every year. People who are believed to be possessed or haunted by evil spirits and entities come here to be cleansed and purified. The exorcism is said to be done when the devotees take a dip in the holy well here.
Although technically not a haunted place, it takes on the energy of a strange, phantasmic land once every year.

I have heard about the bhangrah fort that it is haunted and all sort of things but the other places are very shocking and interesting as well. Normally i am not much comfortable with the hunted stories but when its about place and on the top of that it’s about rajasthan i can not control to explore the places but in a day time.
