A few years ago, Indians had to struggle to get a visa to Serbia, but from what reports have to say, that is certainly not the case anymore. Reports say that the Serbian government has changed the rules for Indians.
The spectacular land with gorgeous landscapes and the Dinaric Alps is now accessible to Indians. This is all thanks to the visa exemption granted to Indians by the Serbian government. From now onwards, Indians with an ordinary passport can travel to Serbia without a prior visa. The new law states that Indians intending to travel to Serbia can enter or transit to Serbia without a visa for a period not exceeding 30 days from the date of entry, within a period of one year.
While trade between New Delhi and Serbia is around 20 million dollars, annual transactions go upto 150 million dollars. A source from the Serbian government has said, “Undisturbed arrival of tourists from these countries, as well as potential investors, in order to create a more favourable business environment and bring bilateral relations with these countries to a higher level.”
This is great news for travellers and tourists who love exploring new places, especially Europe.
