It’s our birthday!
Birthdays are special. Not only because you would get to party and have cake without thinking of those extra calories, or get loads of gifts. But also because you have grown a year wiser, have gained more experience, and you are ready to take on the world. As Treebo Hotels turns one, we, the proud employees of this company, celebrated to our heart’s content. We couldn’t help but look back fondly and recollect the incidents that led to the birth of Treebo. And also the many other such moments that will be cherished forever.

DAY 1:
The 2-day festivities started by welcoming the guests who flew from various parts of the country to the headquarter city of Bangalore to celebrate this special event. The venue was a beautiful resort on the outskirts of Bangalore, Radiant Resort. The organising team left no stones unturned to make the welcome perfect. Music of dhol, saree clad pretty ladies, and Tilak greeted the guests.
A company that saw incredible growth in just one year also grew as a family of 250 odd employees. The main aim of the first event was for us to interact with each other and know more about each other’s work. This, if not for now, would rarely be possible as Treebo’s branches are spread all across India already!
Each one of us was divided into teams and interaction happened over fun games that included having shots of Karela juice and jumping into the pool for points. In spite of all the excitement, Treebs had a solemn moment when Ashish Goel, Founder of Urban Ladder was introduced as a speaker. It was an insightful speech that made us contemplative.
Later in the day, all regional teams geared up for the “Kisme Kitna Hai Dum” show. The stellar performances left everybody speechless and often rolling with laughter. Yes, it was that good, and as I write this down, I can’t help but grin, remembering it all. Not just the performances, but the spirit, the emotions that ran high were commendable. What followed was an amazing night! Some got busy dancing; others went for the mouth watering food. When the clock struck 12, the cake was cut but the fun didn’t stop even then.
Day 2:
The next day started on a serious note as teams were asked to find solutions for particular problems Treebo is facing. Post lunch, things got interesting as the Dubsmash videos were shown on screen. It was a contest based on the values of Treebo, and needless to say, everybody had a good laugh.
The Founders speech followed and it was a gentle reminder of how we can turn negative things to positive and reach the summit. Take a look at these three good looking men sharing their two cents with their Treebo family:
Performances were due this day too, and Treebo has truly got talent, as dancing, acting, singing and recitation followed. It made us happy to see video messages from the founders’ wives and more thrilled when they arrived in person to wish us.
After a gala party and a hearty dinner, it was time to say goodbye. Teams parted but promised to resonate the values and visions of Treebo Hotels. This is who we are after all! We have fun, but we don’t forget what is expected of us. That is what Treebo has taught us in the past one year.
